3. Extension Permissions & Usage

Secritly uses a limited set of browser permissions to function:

activeTab

Used to access the currently active tab when you trigger a scan. This allows Secritly to analyze the privacy policy of that page.

storage

Used to store local settings or temporary data required for the extension to function. No personal data is stored or shared.

sidePanel

Used to display the Secritly interface within your browser.

content scripts (https:///)

Used to detect and extract relevant privacy policy content from the current page. Scripts run only when needed and do not monitor user behavior.

tabs (if applicable)

Used to retrieve the URL of the active tab when initiating a scan. We do not track or store browsing activity.

4. Data Usage

Secritly processes only the information necessary to analyze a privacy policy.

No personal data is collected or stored
No browsing history is tracked
No data is sold or shared with third parties

Any processing is limited to providing the privacy analysis feature.

5. Data Storage & Infrastructure

We may use third-party infrastructure (such as Supabase or similar services) to support functionality.

These services are used only to:

Store minimal operational data (if required)
Support application performance

We do not store personal browsing data on these services.

We retain only the minimum data required for functionality.

No browsing or scan history is retained
